In addition to celebrating with my husband and family, I choose to celebrate Valentine’s Day by sending cards to my closest friends each year to tell them how much I treasure them.
My friends are scattered all over the country, and I want them to know that despite the distance, they are very dear to me.

Some years I send them a small handmade gift. Some years I send handmade cards. This year I chose to purchase Hallmark Valentine’s Day Cards and share special memories through doodling (you’ll see).
I popped over to Walmart knowing that they have a large selection of Hallmark Valentine’s Day cards and I needed a large selection to be able to find just the right card for each of my friends.
I was able to find all these cards for my friends (plus one for the hubby, couldn’t forget him, of course!) for $19.76! There was a great selection of cards. I found funny ones, cute ones, pretty ones and sweet cards; a card for each friend’s personality
Hallmark even had these sweet #ValentineCards cards for under $1! And you can save even more with the Hallmark Card Rewards Program. For every 5 Hallmark cards you buy at Walmart, you earn a reward. That means you can send cards to even more friends! Be sure to sign up for the Hallmark Card Rewards Program before you head over to Walmart to get your Hallmark Valentine’s cards.
From the moment my friends see their cards, I want them to know how much they mean to me. I decided to decorate the envelope flap with doodles of special memories I share with each of my friends.
You’ll need a good doodling pen and a piece of scratch paper to slip under the flap so you don’t smudge the rest of the envelope. I recommend writing down some words and phrases that will remind your friend of shared memories. Writing them down will help you plan your doodles to fill the flap artistically (I learned this the hard way, so trust me).
I had a blast walking down memory lane as I doodled for each of my friends. I hope they’ll enjoy the stroll down memory lane as much as I did. Which of your friends will you send doodled memories to this Valentine’s Day?

I love these cards. Not only are they fun to doodle on, but they are priced great! I feel like I will be sending more cards out!

Hi Susan – We are on countdown and what a great reminder to ensure everyone has their cards out on time. I may (ahem) forward this article to Hubby! Hugs, Holly

I have to confess that I am one of the people who flips the card over to see where it came from. I always feel special when someone splurges on a Hallmark card for me, though perhaps I should adjust my thinking of it as a luxury item since you got so many for a great price! I love the doodle idea. Thanks for the tips on how to do it without messing up the envelope and card.

Really cool way to personalize the cards! (Seen on One Project at a Time.)
