If you know my family or have hung around Organized 31 very long, you know that we lo-ove Buffalo wings and use any excuse we can find to add Buffalo flavor to our snacks and meals.  We’re also big sports fans so this time of year there is just one big game after another to follow.  With three children (and three college educations to pay for) and the crazy winter weather lately, we most definitely are homegating to watch our sports teams’ big games.  One of our favorite treats is this creamy easy Buffalo dip and our game day grub.

I had some errands to run this week, so  I popped over to Walmart to pick up the things I needed plus the ingredients for our game day snacks.  I was able to find Alexia Crispy Onion rings and Smart Classic Crinkle Cut Fries on the frozen potatoes aisle.  The Alexia Sweet Potato Fries are my personal favorite, so I’ll make sure we have those for our next game time grub night.  You can learn more about Alexia products by following them on Facebook and Pinterest.

Creamy Buffalo Dip

This creamy Buffalo dip truly is easy to whip up.  You’ll need cream cheese, cottage cheese, feta cheese, a clove of garlic and Buffalo wing sauce.  You can make the dip in 10 minutes while the fries and onion rings are baking.  The step-by-step recipe card is below.

I always add chopped bacon to our dip (because everything is better with bacon for our family), but it’s just as delicious without bacon.

We are big hockey fans in my family and this is one of our favorite hockey game snacks.  It’s also our favorite football game snacks, basketball game snacks, baseball game snacks…. well, you get the idea.

Eating finger foods is perfect for watching your favorite sport because they’re easy to manage (and oh-so delicious!).

I like to use  a yard and a half to two yards of fabric for a festive table cloth.  Orange is our hockey team’s color and it works well for basketball, too.  You can pick up inexpensive fabric in bright colors to coordinate to your team’s or sport’s colors and make your game time grub celebration that much more festive.

When watching our game and homegating, we enjoy my easy creamy Buffalo dip, French fries, onion rings, vegetables, and fruit.  We relish yummy and healthy snacks all while watching our favorite team win (hopefully!).

Of course the yummy snacks are the whole reason for watching the game (but, shhh, my family thinks watching the game is the whole reason for the yummy snacks).

Please tell me we’re not the only family that has a stash of stuffed hockey pucks (and footballs, too) that we can throw at the TV when we disagree with the calls! Yes, we’re emotional and participative sports fans.
