My kids make their own lunches for school these days so I don’t have very many opportunities to surprise them with a note or treat in their lunch box. I knew I wanted to do something fun for Pi Day this year and surprise them. Luckily I found these cute little pies and could make easy Pi Day Treats for March 14.
For those of you who don’t know, March 14th is Pi Day. Another silly day to celebrate and I love it. Since pi is 3.14 and March is 3/14, it’s the perfect silly day to celebrate. Did you know that this is the only time in the next 100 years that it will Pi Day to 5 digits (8 digits at 9:29) because it is 3-14-15. Oh, and the fact that Pi Day can be celebrated with pie only makes it that much more silly and fun. I found these cute little individual pies at my grocery store.
I grabbed some white labels and colored markers and wrote a quick little note to my kids.
In less than a minute, I have easy Pi Day treats to surprise my kids and hubby with in their lunch boxes. Happy Pi Day, all!
Do you celebrate Pi Day or any other fun, silly holidays?
Look’s like I did a great job picking a yummy pie!

I found out about Pi Day a few years ago because my BFF shares her birthday with it and she figured it would be easy to get me to remember her birthday if she could tie it to a dessert (apparently she was right because hers is one birthday I’ve never forgotten). This is the perfect birthday surprise treat for her! Thanks for sharing.

What a smart friend you have and she’ll say the same when you surprise her with a cute little pie.

Ohhhh! Such a sweet surprise! Thanks for the day reminder, I need to come up with a good idea for that day, too. 🙂

I bet your kids were so excited to find these in their lunch! I used to remember Pi Day when my daughter was younger, but since she is out of the house, I don’t anymore. Thanks for reminding me of this fun day!
