Most outdoor parties involve at least one plastic Costco-type table.  I really, really don’t like plastic table cloths (all they do is blow around and I seem to end up battling them all party long) but I also don’t like plain bleh plastic tables.  The solution I found for my daughter’s graduation party was so easy it’s almost embarrassing.  Lucky for you, I don’t embarrass that easily.  Just in time for all those summer and 4th of July parties, let me share my easy polka dot party table decoration with you.

I pulled out a sheet of red vinyl, a sheet of blue vinyl and my Cricut.  I cut a bunch of 1 1/2 inch circles.  (I first tried using a circle punch, but found that it didn’t work very well punching out the vinyl).  If you don’t have a Cricut or Silhouette, you could buy red and blue dots from your local office supply store and use those.

The hardest part of this entire process was peeling the backing off the dots (really!).  I had my mom help me pre-peel the backing (see the small crease on each dot) so that on the day of the party we wouldn’t be frustrated fighting those cute little polka dots.

It took about 2 minutes to stick the polka dots to the table and voila!

These vinyl dots are so-ooo easy to remove after the party.  I even stuck mine to a piece of wax paper so I’m ready for the next party.
