Leggings are a girl’s best friend on a lazy/late/any day. Not only are they comfortable, they’re super easy to make an outfit out of!
The number one rule of wearing leggings is that your shirt has to cover your “backside.” Your top doesn’t have to be as long as a dress, but make sure you’re covered.
Just remember, leggings are not real pants and shouldn’t be treated as such.
This thrifted army shirt is one of my fall and winter essentials. I often wear it with leggings (as seen here), but I also use it as a jacket for sleeveless dresses and shirts. It’s the perfect weight for fall. My black boots and leggings are from Target and my white hair bow is from American Apparel.
These Target leggings have lasted me over a year with a lot of wear, and I got them for under $10. I usually buy basics like these for less so I can spend more money on the rest of my closet.

This outfit is a perfect for a relaxed Monday at school: comfy yet stylish. Patterned legging are my new favorite thing, and I especially love these pastel galaxy ones (Wet Seal). I left them as the focal point of the ensemble. I paired them with a thrifted white button down, black lace ups (Pac Sun), and simple accessories: silver orb earrings (gift) and round black sunnies (Charlotte Russe).

I loved my leggings in the 80’s. I’m glad they’ve come back, I only wish my legs still looked like they did 20 years ago! I do love the patterned leggings they have now. So easy to pair with a big comfy sweater.

I think leggings are a great thing to have in your closet. Love the look you pulled together and I especially love the bow! Great outfits!

Oh how I wish I could wear leggings. Unfortunately when I wear them I look remarkably like the peanut guy with the top hat.

S&E – I was a child of the 80’s too and so glad the leggings of today aren’t shiny like they were back in the day. Once the temps drop, I pretty much wear leggings… oh… every day. They are so much fun to pair with any kind of shirt or dress. The other week I paired an old white dress shirt from my husband with leopard print leggings, a wide braided belt and ankle booties. Look forward to next week’s styles. Stay grounded, do good in school, and be a better person each day. Hugs, Mrs. B.
