Although our area hasn’t been getting the idea what true fall weather is like, we like to pretend that it is. This time of year is always fun to style because you don’t have to be truly dressing for warmth just yet. Skirts are perfect for this in between weather.
Today I am wearing one of my favorite dresses, a chambray studded sundress from Macy’s. It’s a flattering shape with a unique skirt, and can easily be dressed up or down. Today I dressed it down for a casual school day with my oatmeal canvas shoes (Toms), hooded leather jacket (gift), and a burgundy woven head wrap. The three different woven fabrics give the outfit a rustic tone perfect for fall.

I went for a fall color palette of browns and dark greens. My cream cropped sweater is from Charlotte Russe, and my tan boots are from dELiAs. My green, olive, and brown speckled skirt is from H&M.
I’m excited to play around with more cropped sweaters this fall/winter, whether with more skirts or over dresses. Adding more warmth is as easy as throwing on some over the knee socks, which I will be wearing a lot these seasons.
Brown nail polish is currently my favorite fall nail polish color, specifically Nirvana by Sinful Colors ($1.99 a bottle at Walgreens – good quality for the price). This color goes well with everything, even black!

E – I love the combination of the soft chambray dress with the studded trim and leather jacket.
S – I am obsessed with the fall color combo of the browns and olive green, and love the sweater-skirt combo.
Beautiful outfits as always, ladies. Do good in school this week and make sound decisions.

My daughter loves Charlotte Russe! She buys all of her weekend clothing there. She has found that she has to shop other places for work clothing! I love the fall colors – i have seen browns, rust, dark purple and rust! I think they are the best colors. Love the chambray dress also. Chambray is the softest and most comfortable fabric around. Great looks girls.
