Having style doesn’t need to break the bank. Thrifting and vintage pieces have become increasingly popular and are a great way to get unique and customizable pieces for very little money. Shopping sales is another great way to get the pieces you want for a fraction of the cost.
We love the challenge and creativity of creating money-saving outfits. We’re proud to be sharing our creations as part of Credit Card Insider’s Splurge vs. Save Campaign.
This black cropped corduroy jacket is from Altar’d State. It was originally priced at over $80, but I was able to get it for less than $5 by watching the end-of-season sales closely. I paired the jacket with an affordable patterned dress from Forever 21 and dark grey wedges that I got on sale. The entire outfit cost me less than $40

Today I’m wearing a highly affordable, yet still stylish outfit. The dress was $10 from a local thrift store. I paired it with cheap knee highs and a pair of suede wedge boots from Target. This dress is great because it works for many types of occasions in both summer and winter. The entire outfit cost me right around $40.

Both of these outfits together cost less than the original cost of the black corduroy jacket! I’m one proud mama that these girls love saving their money as much as they love fashion. Do you splurge or save on your fashion?
