People have mixed views on Valentine’s Day, whether loving it, hating it or not even having an opinion. To us, Valentine’s Day is another occasion for a special outfit. And we love an event to dress for.
I find Valentine’s Day to be a fun opportunity to dress girly. I don’t usually wear pink, but this fun lip-printed button up shirt from Charlotte Russe seemed perfect for this holiday. I tucked it into a basic black skater skirt (JC Penney) and added a pink and silver necklace for some extra interest. To make the outfit more seasonally appropriate, I wore some panty hose, but cream patterned tights would have looked cute as well. I finished off the look with these pointy-toe, cut out boots from Forever 21.

I took a darker approach to the typical Valentine’s Day color palette. I followed the holiday theme in a wine red maxi skirt from American Eagle. I kept the rest of my outfit simple in a black sweater (H&M) and black belt (borrowed from my mom). I love these black lace up boots from Modcloth, they make me feel a little bit like a witch – in a good way.

I love both of the outfits, but I think my favorite is the longer skirt. It looks like an outfit I wore when I was a bit younger!
