Halloween is such a fun holiday. I adore the fun and cute side of Halloween (someone else can have the creepy scary side). I wanted to create fun Halloween Treat Bags to send with my college care packages this year. But since I’m a busy mom (who isn’t?), I needed to be able to make these quickly. Although I wanted a simple Halloween treat bag idea, I still wanted them to wow.

You can make these Halloween treat bags with supplies you probably already have at home or a quick trip to the discount store will provide everything you need. They also make a great kids’ craft or kids’ activity to do with your children or with a school group.

Halloween Treat Bags – Make Last Minute

Supplies

stack of white envelopes, red ruler, bottle of glue, black marker and googly eyes on black background

For the Mummy – Use a ruler and permanent marker to make lines for the bandage wraps. Draw eyes or add googly eyes. We don’t have to tell anyone that it only takes about two minutes to make. It’s so adorable that it looks much more complicated.

For the Ghost – Simply free-hand draw a ghost face. Couldn’t be much simpler, but of course, you can always make it more complicated if you feel you must.

You could make different Halloween characters by using different colors of envelopes.

  • Green – Frankenstein, Gremlin, Witch, Alien
  • Orange – Jack O’Lantern, Monster
  • Purple – Witch, Monster, Vampire

They’re so stinkin’ cute and no one will believe you made them in just minutes.  Who are you going to make Halloween treat bags for?

  1. That’s a cute idea. I would definitely need to use the ruler to help draw straight lines. It would be a cute idea for kids to make as treat bags for their class too. You always come up with ideas that anyone can do.

    1. Thanks, Brenda. As a teacher (and mom) you immediately saw the classroom treat bag application, where I saw the college care package angle. I’m all about easy projects (that don’t necessarily look easy 😉

  2. Googly eyes make everything more fun! Fun project for little ones who are having a hard time waiting for the festivities to begin:)

  3. Cute! With October going as fast as it is, I feel like this Halloween will indeed be last-minute!! Visiting from BFF party.
