Hanukkah is just around the corner.  My dear friend, K., and her children celebrate Hanukkah.  She doesn’t have family near by to celebrate with her so I try to make a small gift for them each year.  Because life seems to be getting in the way of the things I want to do this year, I chose to make easy (with the emphasis on easy) Hanukkah treat bags.Hanukkah Treat Bags - Organized 31

I found these blue and white candies as my starting point.

Supplies

Blue and white candy

Plastic bag

Blue and white card stock paper

Stapler

I cut the white card stock to fit the width of the bag and 4 inches tall.  I folded the card stock in half so that it fit on top of the bag and made a bag topper.  I added blue and white decorative paper to the front of the card stock bag topper.Hanukkah Treat Bags - Organized 31

I stapled the bag topper onto the bag and disguised the staple with a gift tag added with double stick tape.Hanukkah Treat Bags - Organized 31

It took me about 5 minutes to make these 3 Hanukkah treat bags (add 5 more minutes for gathering the supplies and distractions).  My plan is to make one treat bags for each member for each of the 8 nights of Hanukkah. (I’m hoping life doesn’t get in the way of my plans).Hanukkah Treat Bags - Organized 31

I can’t wait to surprise K. and her family with these Hanukkah treat bags this year.Hanukkah Treat Bags - Organized 31

You should add some chocolate coins (if you have them) as in Hanukkah there is a tradition to get “Hanukkah coins”

    1. Thanks, Winnie. The only chocolate coins I’ve ever had were made from poor quality chocolate. I need to find some good chocolate coins to add.
