I’m beyond thrilled that the weather is warming up and that means that it’s time to look at our To Do List for May. You can access it {here}.
Hopefully tax preparation is but a distant memory for you. Take a couple of minutes to file the tax form and supporting documentation in a labeled file folder. I like the pocket style folders because they keep everything neatly together. Then put the file in a file drawer or box with your other years tax paperwork. That way you’ll always know right where it is if you need it.
Since the weather should be warming up by now finally, take the time to wash or dry clean all sweaters, coats, mittens, hats and scarves before you pack them away. Also, take the time to wipe down all winter boots and shoes before packing them away.
Wait until pollen season is done in your area and then clean the screens and windows of your home. It will make opening the windows for fresh air so much nicer. It’s also much more enjoyable to have the sun shining through clean windows. Tackle it now before the temperatures get too hot.
In preparation for spring and summer yard work, check all hoses and sprinklers to make sure they survived the winter and are still working. And while it’s sunny and mild out, tackle your flower beds.
Since it is the spring and temperatures are mild, clean your car inside and out. This is the time to get rid of all of the dirt and grime from winter.
And finally, since you’re outside already working on your yard and car, drag your trash cans outside and scrub them all well. When the temperatures get hot this summer you’ll be happy that you have the only non-stinky trash can on the block!

Wondering if you have the June through December printables available. I love these but can’t find any past May on the website.
I’m sorry, S, I’m still working on them. Please stay tuned. 🙂
