I hit a milestone birthday last year and it was like the warranty on this (not) old body was up. Everything started falling apart. While I make jokes about it and I’m doing just fine now, all the health issues did cause me to step back and reevaluate my health and lifestyle. Let me be clear, I’ve always lived a fairly healthy lifestyle, much healthier than the vast majority of the population. But as I began evaluating my diet, exercise and my entire lifestyle, I realized that I could do better. I began to look for ways to take better care of myself. One of the things I began reading about was adding probiotic supplements to my routine. I want to be the best me that I can be for as long as I can be.
Less than two months after my milestone birthday, I had an emergency appendectomy that was the worst my surgeon had seen in over a year. When you’re told that you have necrosis (definition – the death of most of all of the cells of an organ or tissue) inside your body – yikes! It was a wake up call, for sure. That’s when I started reviewing every aspect of my lifestyle. I’ve increased my exercise. I’ve begun transitioning to clean eating. I’m drinking much more water. I’m getting more sleep. And now I’m learning more about dietary supplements and specifically, probiotic supplements.

Probiotic Supplements
Why Probiotics?
- Our bodies naturally have good bacteria that are necessary for your overall health
- Maintaining a healthy balance of good bacterial is beneficial to your health
- Probiotics are good bacteria taken for health benefits
- Many of the probiotics are the same or even similar to microorganisms that naturally occur in your body
- You can find probiotics in many foods and also in probiotic supplements
- Probiotics are often associated with digestive balance
Last week I was at Walmart on one of my many shopping trips (did I see you there shopping, too?) for craft supplies and everything else I need (as a person that doesn’t like to shop, I can’t beat that one-stop shopping). At Walmart I found Nature Made® Probiotics in the vitamin and supplement aisle in the Personal Care section of the store. Since Walmart has everyday low prices on items, including Nature Made®, I don’t have to wait for a sale or remember my coupons to save. In looking at the aisle, I realized that Nature Made® has quite a variety of vitamins, minerals and supplements to support your health and help fill in nutritional gaps There’s are products for everything from digestive support to women’s health to metabolism to heart health.
I’m a busy mom of three and a busy woman. I’m interested in being my best and in making my life easier. When I saw the Nature Made® Advanced Dual Action Probiotics, I was intrigued. Since Nature Made® is the #1 Pharmacist Recommend brand for many key dietary supplement categories*, I felt comfortable trying it.
*Based on the 2016 U.S. News & World Report – Pharmacy Times Survey.
There are two capsules – one with probiotics specifically for your large intestines and one with probiotics for your small intestines.
I learned that Nature Made® Advanced Dual Action Probiotic has been clinically studied and provides dual support to both your small and large intestine for comprehensive coverage to help support digestive balance and healthy gut flora.†

Nature Made® vitamins and supplements provide me an easy, convenient way to help my body get the nutritional support it needs every day, whether it be to support bone health, immune health or energy metabolism (helping convert food into energy).†† Taking the two capsules with on of my many glasses of water each day is simple enough that even this busy mama can do it.
