Red White Blue Desserts for the 4th of July. Easy-to-make fruit cups that are adorable and delicious. #ad

I lo-ovve the 4th of July. Not only do I love the patriotism of the holiday, but I also adore the small town parades, the grilled and summertime food, the outdoor games and fireworks. I enjoy celebrating the Fourth with patriotic-themed food. It may not surprise you that red, white and blue food desserts are my favorite for the 4th of July. This year I am featuring more fruit in my desserts and so I’ve created this super easy-to-make patriotic fruit cup to celebrate Independence Day

It’s easy to make this red, white and blue fruit salad in a large bowl, but serving it in individual, smaller portions is just so doggone charming.  It doesn’t take any more work to make individual fruit desserts, so why not go for charming? It took me about four minutes to make these six individual 4th of July fruit cups.

Red, White and Blue Desserts

Ingredients

Red

  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Dried Cranberries

Blue

  • Blueberries
bowl of shredded coconut, bowl of blueberries, bowl of yogurt covered raisins and bowl of raspberries on white wood table

White

  • Coconut
  • Yogurt Covered Raisins
  • Mini Marshmallows

Rinse the fresh fruit and pat dry.

Layer red fruit on the bottom of the cup and then the white fruit. Depending on the height of your cup, alternate the red and white fruits two to four times to mimic the stripes in the flag.

Add the blueberries as the top layer. Sprinkle in white fruit or mini marshmallows to mimic white stars on the blue field of the flag.

I layered my red, white and blue dessert in simple clear plastic cups. But I’m ordering these patriotic I heart USA drinking jars to hold this patriotic dessert for our July 4th picnic. You have got to check out all the patriotic items perfect for your 4th of July at Wayfair. In addition to the I heart USA drinking jars, there are several other patriotic items and outdoor games that I have my eye on (and will be making their way into my Wayfair basket).

Red, White and Blue Desserts – After-school Snack

These easy red, white and blue desserts are also perfect for an after-school snack. They’re healthy enough to be more fruit snack than dessert. You can make up individual cups and have them waiting for when your children arrive home from school. Or you can set the ingredients out on the counter and let your children make their own patriotic fruit cups.

  1. I love the red, white and blue theme! So patriotic and fun. I also love all of the fresh fruit in the cups. The addition of coconut is great. I recently found the dried coconut and love it. It is a perfect crunchy and naturally sweet treat. I know my family would love these.
