I participated in an Influencer Activation for StateFarm Neighborhood Assist. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation. #SFNeighborhoodAssist
If you’ve been hanging around Organized 31 for any period of time, you know that our family tries to give back to our community. Every time the military moves us to a new community, we quickly find a charitable organization that we can become involved with in our new community. It’s not only a great way to help others and make a difference, but it’s a great way to get to know your community. State Farm Neighborhood Assist is committed to making a positive difference in communities, too with their Youth Advisory Board and the Neighborhood Assist Contest that is running right now.
The State Farm Neighborhood Assist program connects individuals and communities with their local non-profit organizations to create and build safer, stronger and better-educated communities. Neighborhood Assist works to empower people to identify problems in their own communities and then connect them with the resources and local nonprofit organizations that can help solve the problem. Additionally, State Farm Neighborhood Assist provides an opportunity for community programs to receive funding to make a positive difference. The community programs fall into six categories making an impact across a spectrum of community issues:
Arts and Culture
Environmental Responsibilities
Community Safety and Justice
Economic Empowerment and Financial Literacy
Access to Higher Education/Closing the Achievement Gap
Health and Wellness
You can be a part of making a positive difference by voting for your favorite cause in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist contest. People are encouraged to submit the community cause that they’re passionate about. Entered causes have a chance to win one of 40 $25,00 grants. There are community programs all around the country that are making positive impacts in their own communities that are competing to win a financial grant from the Neighborhood Assist program. Your vote can help select the 40 grant winners and can help them continue to make a positive difference. You have until June 3rd to vote and the winners will be announced on June 16th. Join me and vote for your favorite cause in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist Facebook Contest.
The Youth Advisory Board consists of 30 students from high schools and universities across the country, 17 to 20 years of age and of diverse backgrounds. The Board implement a $5 million-a-year service-learning initiative to address issues facing youth and their communities. The Board members serve two-year terms and are completely autonomous. They select and fund projects focused on issues selected by the board that impact youth in our country.
Please join me in supporting your favorite cause in the State Farm Neighborhod Assist program. I’ll see you over at the State Farm Neighborhood Assist Facebook Contest casting my own vote. Together, we can make a difference.

This is such a wonderful program. I’ve been voting everyday for my favorites! I grew up in State Farm’s HQ city and it doesn’t surprise me that such a community-oriented company is so generously supporting local causes.
