Have you ever been thousands of miles away from your home and family? Have you ever been thousands of miles away over the holidays? As we celebrate the holidays this year, let’s be sure to support our troops. There are many ways to support them, send cards and letters to delployed troops, send care packages to delployed troops, make donations to organizations that work with troops and veterans, visit troops at military hospitals and simply thank a veteran. It’s also easy to support our troops while feeding your family with Marie Callender’s and the Comfort from Home program.
As a military veteran, I’ve been stationed far from home and family over the holidays. Our troops won’t complain, but I can tell you that it’s especially tough being away from family over the holidays. Marie Callender’s and the USO recognize that and have been bringing heartfelt feelings of thanks, flavors and favorites of home to the troops for years. I’ve been a big fan of Marie Callender’s for the great tasting food, but I became a huge fan when I learned about Marie Callender’s Comforts from Home program several years ago.
The USO Operation Celebration program is committed to providing a “home away from home” for our deployed troops stationed all around the world to make sure every holiday, small or large, is celebrated. Marie Callender’s announced the return of the Comforts from Home project in partnership with the USO to bring the holidays, flavors and favorites of home to our troops again this year.
You can help by purchasing specially-marked pacakges of Marie Callender’s meals and desserts. My family always enjoys Marie Callender’s meals for dinner and I find them especially convenient during the busy holiday season.

How You Can Help
Find the code on the back of your box and enter it online at Marie Callender’s Comforts from Home Project. For every entry by 1/29/2016 of an 8-digit code found on participating products, Marie Callender’s will donate $.50 to the USO Operation Celebration program. Guaranteed minimum donation: $100,000. Maximum donation: $300,000. Limit 5 code entries per person/computer each day. Valid in U.S. Only. That means that this delicious meal my family ate will contribute $3 to Operation Celebration.
Last year, with consumers’ support, Marie Callender’s brought care packages to deserving servicemen and women stationed overseas through a $250,000 donation to the USO. You can find a list of participating Marie Callender’s products and see how many codes have been entered to date with the real-time code tracker.
