Remember a couple of weeks ago when I decided I couldn’t part with on old, but favorite sweater? {here}  Well, I couldn’t part with the sleeves of the sweater either (if you’ve been following my projects, I know you’re not surprised).
pink sweaters and an old fashioned oats container

I had a pretty pink striped sweater sleeve and an oatmeal container. It was just meant to be.

I slipped the oatmeal container into the sleeve and adjusted the position until I liked the stripe pattern that was showing.

scissors being used to cut a sweater

I cut the sleeve so there would be just enough to cover the bottom of the container.

showing where to put the tape on the bottom of the upcycled sweater container

I used clear packing tape to attach the sweater to the bottom of the container.  The packing tape will hold the sleeve in place and keep the cut edges from fraying.  I used glue dot strips to attach the finished (bottom) edge of the sweater inside the top of the container.

Now I just need to create a craft table for myself so these fun containers can be put to use.
