Nothing says Halloween party like a frothy witches’ brew punch. It also work perfectly for many other party or celebratory situations. This is one recipe that you’ll turn to again and again because it’s so easy to make and always a big hit.

It’s simple to make a Halloween punch non-alcoholic version of this drink. You can easily offer both an adult and non-alcoholic version at the same time.

It’s also super easy to make this witches’ brew recipe in either an adult version or a non-alcohol version. The slushy punch always wows and is a great recipe for your next Halloween party of any fun Halloween celebration.

You can make and serve the Halloween drink to party guests in individual glasses or in a large punch bowl.

How do you make dry ice punch?

Dry ice punch is a fun way of making an impressive spooky Halloween punch. The dry ice releases a spooky white fog and adds to the Halloween atmosphere.

Check with local stores first to make sure:

1. That they carry dry ice
2. That they will have a supply for Halloween. You may have to place an order due to the higher demand during the Halloween season.

It’s important to handle dry ice safely. Always ask for directions from the dry ice supplier.

• Dry ice should never be touched with bare hands or placed in the mouth. You should always protect your hands and eyes when handling dry ice. Use a rubber glove or tongs to handle dry ice.
• Only use dry ice in a well-ventilated area. Dry ice produces CO2 and it can have toxic effects when breathed in high concentrations.
• To be careful in serving a punch, dry ice should never be placed in a punch or drink directly.

You can still create a dry ice punch by placing the dry ice in a large bowl or cauldron and then placing the Halloween punch in a smaller punch bowl set in the bowl with dry ice. This allows the fog to drift up and around the punch bowl while minimizing the risk of touching or consuming the dry ice.

Place the smaller punch bowl inside the larger bowl or cauldron. You want to have space between the two bowls on the sides. Place pieces of dry ice in the space between the two bowls. Pour boiling water or very hot water on top of the dry ice and watch the fog appear. You can add a little dry ice after a bit to keep the fog going strong.

Witches Brew Recipe

Ingredients

• Vanilla Ice Cream, Choose quality vanilla bean ice cream for the adult version
• Orange Soda
• Pinot Grigio Wine
• Sparkling Water, Orange Juice, Lemon-Lime Soda or any Clear Soda for the non-alcoholic version

You can serve witches brew in any cup, but serving it in a clear glass or cup showcases the fun witchy-ness of witches brew.

Step One

Pour 1 cup orange soda and 1/3 cup pinot grigio or non-alcoholic substitution into a glass.

Step Two

Add a scoop of ice cream to the glass. The carbonation and ice cream will create a witchy and delicious froth.

Step Three

Add a cute smoothie straw and serve immediately.

Adaptations

• The ratio of pinot grigio or substitute to orange soda is 1 to 3, so you can adapt witches’ brew to any size glass or cup.
• You can also make witches brew in a punch bowl.
• To make this witches brew more orange flavored, use orange sherbet in place of vanilla ice cream.
• Create a green witch’s brew drink by substituting pineapple juice for the pinot grigio, lime sherbert for the ice cream and add green food coloring.

• To create a red Halloween punch, substitute cranberry juice for the orange soda.
• For more of a fall flavor, you can substitute apple cider for the orange soda.
• Add gummy worms to the edge of glasses or the punch bowl.
• You can mix all the ingredients except the ice cream in a large pitcher. Then easily make this punch recipe in individual service size Halloween drinks as needed.

Witches’ brew is best served fresh, so make and serve individually or in small batches.
