It’s candy season. Yea! I’m a big kid when it comes to the excitement of Halloween and Halloween candy. There’s something magical about staring into a big bowl of candy as the doorbell rings with the first trick-or-treater and something equally magical about watching my children dump out the contents of their candy bags when they return home from trick-or-treating. To add to the magic for the trick-or-treaters that come to our house, I purchase my favorite candy to hand out, but my ulterior motive is that they’re the main ingredient in these amazing Mini Finger Pies.
One of my earliest (and favorite) memories is eating my Great-Aunt Mimi’s BUTTERFINGER® Pie. I was very young and could only say “Finger Pie” but that was enough to get my message across. This family favorite is now known throughout our extended family as Finger Pie. It’s always a big crowd-pleaser with my family and with guests. I’ve added a bit of twist by making Mini Finger pies that are the perfect treat for your Halloween party or celebration. This recipe is easy enough that you can make it the afternoon before your party.
Ingredients
20 BUTTERFINGER® Fun-Size Candy Bars
Marshmallows – 30 large or 3/4 package of mini
1/3 Cup Milk
12 ounces Refrigerated Whipped Topping (reserve 1-2 cups to garnish the pies)
12 Mini Graham Cracker Pie Crusts
BUTTERFINGER® Peanut Butter Cup Minis
Crush BUTTERFINGER® Fun-Size Candy Bars by hand or in a blender. In a double boiler pot, melt marshmallows and milk; stir until smooth. Mix crushed BUTTERFINGER® bars into the marshmallow mixture. Cool 10-15 minutes. Mix whipped topping into mixture.
Spoon the filling into the pie crusts and garnish with whipped topping and BUTTERFINGER® Peanut Butter Cup Minis.
Warning – these Mini Finger Pies are addictive. You may not be able to eat just one.
Individual mini pies are perfect for parties because they’re so easy to serve, oh, and they look charming, too.
My family has already eaten the batch of Mini Finger Pies that I made for our neighborhood Halloween party. Guess I’ll just have to make another batch. Luckily, these pies are easy enough to make that it’s no problem (maybe it’s even an opportunity for me to sample a few candy bars, lucky me!).
I always plan ahead and purchase “extra” of my favorite Butterfinger candy (don’t tell my family my secret strategy) so that I can pass it out to trick-or-treaters, indulge in a couple pieces myself and use the “extra” candy make my favorite Mini Finger Pies (happily they’re also my family’s favorite, too).

Butterfingers were always my favorite I’m headed over to play with the grandchildren this weekend and this sounds like the perfect thing to make. Thank You.
Enjoy the time with your grandkids and enjoy the Mini Finger Pies, Monica.
Oh, yum! I love butterfingers. I love pies. I am so going to make these!
Warning, Andrea, you can’t eat just one. Be sure to have lots of hungry people available or you’ll eat them all yourself (ask me how I know).
Oh my! This looks good! My kids would love these!
If your children like Butterfingers, they’ll love these pies.
I love these little pies, Susan. I think having a single size serving is a great idea. I had never thought about making pie from candy bars. I know my family would love them.
Butterfingers are among my all-time fave candy bars. What a great idea to pop them into these mini pies for a fall treat.
These would be a perfect addition to the dessert bar at our family reunion next year! Pinned! 🙂
I hope these Mini Finger Pies becomes a family tradition for your family just as it is for my family. Enjoy, Alison!
I love these mini finger pies. Pinned. Thanks for hosting the party!
