How to Download Digital Resources
Everything you need to know about accessing and using your digital resource.
You requested or purchased a digital document. You must download and save it to your device, print it out or do both. A physical copy of the product will not be mailed to you.
Many mobile devices such as phones and tablets, do not allow for downloading through a link. If you are having difficulty, use a computer to access the file.
Printable files are provided in PDF format. Many computers come with a pre-installed pdf reader programs, such as Adobe Reader. If your device does not, you can find many free pdf readers available online. Adobe Reader is a commonly used and free option.
Some of my digital files are made available through Dropbox. This is simply a delivery system. You do not need a Dropbox account to access and download the resource. Simply click the link to access your file and save the file to your device.
You will be prompted to sign in or sign up for Dropbox. You do not need an account to download and save the file to your computer or device. If you would like to save the files to Dropbox (a cloud storage service) you can sign up for a free account, but this is not necessary to download the file.
Can’t find the file after you’ve downloaded it? Try looking in the Downloads folder or search the title of the file on your computer to identify where it was downloaded.
How to Access Zipped or Compressed Products
Some products will be downloaded in a zip file format because it’s a large file and can only be sent this compressed format.
How to open or unzip a ZIP file
Some browsers, such as Google, Firefox, Explorers, etc., don’t work well with downloading. Try using a different browser, if you’re having difficulty. (This drives me crazy in my personal and professional life. No one can tell me why it happens. The technical advice is always to try another browser, so I’m passing that along to you.
On a laptop or PC
- Save the ZIP file to your computer
- Right-click on the file
- Select, “Extract All”
- Open the newly created, not zipped version of the file
On a Mac
- Download The Unarchiver, a free app to unzip compressed files
- Once the app is installed, right-click on the zipped folder
- Click, “open with” and select The Unarchiver
- Click “extract.” This will place the unzipped file in the same location that you saved the original zipped file.
On a mobile device
- You may need to install an app before you can download a Zip file to your device
- There are free, reliable apps available to allow you to unzip the file on your device
- Some devices allow you to unzip files by long hold the zipped file icon and then select the “Extract” option

The digital product you purchased is copyrighted.
Your purchase allows you to download one single copy of this digital product on a single device to access it electronically. Additionally, you may print this digital product for your own personal use only. This digital product may not be reproduced, stored or transmitted in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical or otherwise, without prior written consent from me.
How to Use the Purchased Product
After downloaded and saved to your device, you can:
- Print the pdf on your printer
- Take a saved copy to your local copy store for printing
- Use in digital format on your device
Frequently Asked Questions
Once I have purchased the digital eBook or printable, will it always be available to me?
Your purchased product is yours to keep and use as many times as you’d like for your personal use. It is recommended that you download and save the product to your device so you can easily locate and access it as often as you’d like.
Can I get a hard copy of the digital product mailed to me?
These are digital products and are not available for purchase in physical form. You may print the file yourself for use. Please note, the digital product you purchased is copyrighted material. Your purchase allows you to print copies for your own personal use. You cannot share it, copy it or present the information to a group or class without prior written content from me.
