Hope you had a fun Halloween. If your house is anything like mine, it is now filled with candy, candy and candy.
We always have way more candy than we want need in our house this time of year. We often don’t even finish our Halloween candy before the Christmas candy starts pouring in.
If you have a similar problem, I’d like to let you know about OperationGratitude.com and it’s Halloween Candy Buy Back program.
Between now and December 1st, dentists offices around the country are collecting extra candy and dental hygiene items {giggle} to send to deployed troops in Christmas care packages. The troops enjoy receiving the donations (who doesn’t enjoy remembering Halloween and the sweet smell of a big box of candy?) and they often give the candy to children in the area to help build positive relationships with the local communities.
You can check CandyBuyBack.com to find a drop-off location near you by entering your zip code. If there isn’t a drop-off location near by, the website has directions on how to send your own donations directly.
You may even want to consider picking up a couple of bags of after Halloween discounted candy to send, too.
It’s a great way to support our troops AND save our waistlines and teeth.
