My daughter wanted to make a small gift to give to her friends. After a trip to the craft store, she came up with this giant clothespins gift idea. She was able to make these for just a couple of dollars each and personalize them with her friends’ favorite colors. They’re perfect for holding photos or organizing papers.
You can find everything you need with a quick trip to the craft store.
Supplies
Giant wood clothespin
Decorative paper
Mod Podge
Paper cutter or scissors
Trim the paper to fit your clothespins. We trimmed the paper into to two pieces to fit the wood on either side of the metal spring bar. We wanted to keep the matte look of the paper, so we carefully spread the Mod Podge on the back only of the decorative paper.
Smooth the paper onto the clothespin. You can add Mod Podge to the top of the paper if you’d like a shiny look.
In just 15 minutes, my daughter finished these five giant clothespins.
You could add a photo or the recipient’s name.
I love using these giant clothespins to organize paper and notes around the office. I’m going to make several of these and have them on-hand for the next time I need a giant clothespin gift idea. Do you keep gifts on-hand, just in case?
