It’s that time of year and you probably know someone graduating.  I’m always looking for a small gift to give in addition to a gift of money for graduation.  I’ve got a quick and easy graduation gift that can also be used as a party favor featuring your graduate’s favorite candy.  And it uses a repurposed glass jar (I just love repurposing projects!).Quick & Easy Graduation Gift - Organized 31

My large stash of glass food jars was calling my name, so I just had to find a use for them.  I grabbed a jar with a black lid to make this project even quicker, but you could simply spray paint the lid black.  I also grabbed some black card stock, some ribbon (use your school color) and a gold sequin.  Cut the card stock to fit the lid of your jar and look like a graduation cap.  A 4 1/2″ by 4 1/2 ” square worked best for my jar.Quick & Easy Graduation Gift - Organized 31

I used a hot glue gun to attach the ribbon and sequin, but you could use craft glue.

I filled the well-washed jar with the graduate’s favorite candy, added a tag and embellishment with glue dots (hot glue doesn’t always stick well to glass).Quick & Easy Graduation Gift - Organized 31

Now I’m ready with a sweet (pun intended) small gift to go along with the card for my favorite graduate.  These would also make cute party favors at a graduation party.

Happy graduation!Quick & Easy Graduation Gift - Organized 31
