Since football season is right around the corner, now is the perfect time to whip up a few of these diy football fan gift envelopes for those fans in your life.
Start by printing your football team’s logo out onto a piece of card stock paper. I simply inserted the team logo into a word processing document and played with it to put it in the perfect position for my envelope. I recommend printing a draft out on computer paper and make sure you’ve centered the logo so that it will show on the flap of the envelope. Once you’ve printed your logo out on card stock, grab a paper-cutter or scissors, an envelope template (you can open an envelope up and use that as a template), a pencil and duct tape.
Cover the back of your card stock with the duct tape. Depending on the pattern on the duct tape, you may have to line the pattern up (better than I did).
Use your template and draw out the envelope shape, centering the team logo so that it will show on the envelope flap. Use duct tape to seal the sides of the envelope. Make a tab to close the envelope by folding a piece of duct tape approximately 1 inch long into a long narrow strip.
Use 2 small pieces of duct tape to position the strip so that it will hold the point of the envelope closed.
Slip your gift card into the envelope and…
…tie it up with a bow. In less than 15 minutes and for less than a dollar, you’ve created a fun surprise envelope for a gift card.
My favorite part of this DIY football fan gift envelope is that you can personalize with the recipient’s favorite team, sport or logo. Have fun creating and giving these quick DIY gift card envelopes.

Hi Susan – What a fun DIY! This would be great as an invitation to a football theme boys birthday party or Superbowl party too. Hugs, Holly
