My friend, J., gave me an adorable decorated clothespin that I use for keeping track of my blogging notes (so that I can see it many times a day).  I’ve enjoyed the cute useful clothespin so much that I decided to make my own version and you may remember my DIY Patriotic Clothespins that I shared a few weeks ago.  These easy DIY decorated clothespins are super easy and so much fun to make.DIY Decorated Clothepins - Make this easy craft for yourself or to give as a gift

You can use any clothespins, but these wide clothespins that I found at Target give you more space to decorate.  I haven’t yet been able to find them anywhere else, but I’m still looking.DIY Decorated Clothepins - Make this easy craft for yourself or to give as a gift

Since the clothespins from Target already came with stripes, I simply decorated incorporating the stripes.  I found that when I used Sharpie pens on the unpainted wood it bled a bit.  I’d recommend using Sharpie markers on painted clothespins or use a paint pin on the unpainted wood.DIY Decorated Clothepins - Make this easy craft for yourself or to give as a gift

For the clothespins that were already painted pink, I added stick-on rhinestones and Sharpie markers to create flowers.

It’s a super easy craft that you could definitely make with the kiddos.  And these Easy DIY Decorated Clothespins are cute enough to give as gifts.DIY Decorated Clothepins - Make this easy craft for yourself or to give as a gift
