My friend, J., gave me an adorable decorated clothespin that I use for keeping track of my blogging notes (so that I can see it many times a day). I’ve enjoyed the cute useful clothespin so much that I decided to make my own version and you may remember my DIY Patriotic Clothespins that I shared a few weeks ago. These easy DIY decorated clothespins are super easy and so much fun to make.
Here’s the clothespin that my friend, J., made for me. You can see why it makes me happy to use it.
You can use any clothespins, but these wide clothespins that I found at Target give you more space to decorate. I haven’t yet been able to find them anywhere else, but I’m still looking.
Since the clothespins from Target already came with stripes, I simply decorated incorporating the stripes. I found that when I used Sharpie pens on the unpainted wood it bled a bit. I’d recommend using Sharpie markers on painted clothespins or use a paint pin on the unpainted wood.
For the clothespins that were already painted pink, I added stick-on rhinestones and Sharpie markers to create flowers.
It’s a super easy craft that you could definitely make with the kiddos. And these Easy DIY Decorated Clothespins are cute enough to give as gifts.

These are so cute. I loved the patriotic one that you recently made. I can see many uses for these in my home and they are fun and easy to make. Love them.
