As I told you yesterday when I shared my Bazing! Pencil Cup, my family is big Big Bang Theory fans. We’re excited that the new season starts tomorrow, Thursday September 26th. I couldn’t just stop at one Big Bang Theory Dr. Sheldon Cooper project project, now could I?
My family travels a lot and not just when the military moves us. We take many trips to visit family and to sight see. My parentstravel a lot. They drive across country to come see the grandchildren me where ever we’re stationed. Taking road trips is just a part of our life.
If you’ve never seen the episode when Sheldon plans the gang’s road trip, it’s a must-see. One of my favorite Big Bang quotes is, “Remember people, we are only as strong as our weakest bladder.” Too true. Too true.
I just had to make my dad, who is also a Big Bang Theory fan, a travel log notebook. (I know he’s chuckling about now).
I started with a clearance notepad from the craft store, a pen, an old map, card stock scraps, double stick tape and the paper cutter.
The map paper is too thin to use for a notepad cover so I scanned the map and printed it out on a piece of white card stock to give it more stability. It also allowed me to choose a part of the map that has meaning to my dad.
I trimmed the card stock map down to the size of the pad. Then I added a scrap piece of blue card stock to the top of the map and used double stick tape to adhere it to the top and back of the pad.
Next I typed my selected quote into Word and printed it out on another scrap of card stock. I added a couple of coordinating card stock scraps to the back of the quote.
And voila! Dr. Sheldon Cooper’s travel log. Act surprised, Dad, when I give it to you on your next visit.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Miracle-Gro for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. Because we move every couple of years with the military, we’ve never really put much effort into our gardens. We maintain whatever comes with the house, but never put our own mark on the garden. In fact, although we made this craft 8 years ago, we still have it displayed in our guest room. And we frequently receive compliments on it. I remember doing this…
