My dear friend, K., celebrates Chanukka each year, so I’m always looking for new craft and gift ideas. Our families have been friends for 17 years. Our children have grown up together and celebrated holidays together. While my family doesn’t celebrate Chanukka, I try to find new ways to send gifts to her children for the holiday.

Sharing a Happy Hanukkah with our friends has become a tradition. My three children are the same age as K.’s children. They’ve been in the same classes and same activities over the years. They’ve attended each other’s birthdays and graduation parties. The amazing thing about this is that we met in Hawai’i and then, thanks to military reassignment, we were separated for six years before we met up again thousands of miles away. The wonderful part was that we picked our friendship right back up and that includes exchanging gifts. I thoroughly enjoy giving gifts to friends and my children’s friends, so I look forward to creating happy Chanukkah gifts to give them each year.

These ideas from creative bloggers are inspiring me this year.
