There are so many occasions when giving a gift card it the best gift choice (like for a teen boy, ugh that’s a tough one). When I give a gift card as a a gift, I like to present it in a special way. Last year, I created surprise gift cards Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephews. It’s a quick and easy idea to create a fun way to give gift card.
I enjoy giving gifts as a way to show my affection and to celebrate. I often make homemade gifts for friends and family, but there are occasions where a gift card is truly the best gift choice. When I give a gift card to an adult, I dress it up by making my own DIY Gift Card Holders. When I give a gift card to a teen or child, I like to jazz it up with a surprise.
Surprise Gift Cards Christmas Gifts
Supplies
- Glass Jar – You can use a recycled jar.
- Colorful Candy – Use your gift recipient’s favorite candy
- Holiday Ribbon
- Gift Tag
- Gift Card – Choose a gift card that is easy to use and for something your recipient enjoys.
Place a layer of candy at the bottom of the jar. Place the gift card into a clean envelope. I made my own DIY Gift Card Holder for the gift card.
Place the gift card in the center of the jar. Add candy around the gift card slowly to keep the card in the center of the jar. Completely fill the jar with candy.
Add holiday ribbon and a gift tag. In about 5 minutes you’ve created a festive way to give a gift card. Opening a gift is always more fun when there’s a bit of a surprise involved (and having a jar of candy makes it more fun, too!).
