I have so many ideas on how to use these Thanksgiving Printable Literary Quotes. These six printables are free and a creative way to celebrate Thanksgiving.

I grew up in a family of readers. My mom shared her love of reading and it rubbed off on me. I have children that love reading as much as I do (and maybe more). I enjoy finding ways to work literary quotes into our lives and our decor. This year I decided I wanted to add Thanksgiving literary quotes to our home. I’ve created these Thanksgiving printables that are free so you can use them, too.

As my children were growing up, books and reading were the only things I never limited. If I could go back to college and choose a career, I’d choose to be a librarian (big happy bibliophile smile!)

I’ve created crafts, and even recipes, with books and about books:

Thanksgiving Literary Quotes

Thanksgiving is possibly my favorite holiday. I love that the focus of Thanksgiving is gratitude, family and friends (oh, and food, too). I also love that it is lower-key than Halloween or Christmas. Of course, I adore both of those holidays, but let’s be frank – they’re labor intensive holidays.

Thanksgiving is about spending time with family and friends. I enjoy decorating, but do it on a much smaller scale.

And because this is such a busy time of year, I don’t have the time (or energy) for complicated decorating. I need Thanksgiving decorations that are easy to do.

Now I’m adding these Thanksgiving literary quotes to my Thanksgiving decorations.

They’d be perfect for:

  • Framing and hanging on the wall.
  • Framing and setting on a mantle or buffet.
  • Placing at each setting at the table.
  • Adding to a hostess gift.
  • Giving to guests.

  1. Oscar Wilde always makes me laugh! Thanksgiving lends itself to so many thought provoking quotes. I wish I had written down things my own family members have said over the years. We are fairly big readers in our family as well, especially my oldest daughter, who practically “eats” books!

  2. Well, Susan, I LOVE quotes, and I LOVE Thanksgiving (like you!), so you’d already hooked me in with this post when I saw it over on your #ThisIsHowWeRoll party. (And thank you so much for the feature there, by the way!) But you really sealed the deal when I saw G.K. Chesterton’s name peeking out of the corner. 😉 I’m doing a little “12 Days of Thanksgiving” countdown on my blog FB page, and would love to include this post. To say nothing of the fact that I’m printing these off for my own Thanksgiving table right now. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

    1. Thanks, Elizabeth. Nothing better than an good literary quote (except maybe a piece of pumpkin pie!). Feel free to share one image with link back to my post. Thanks for asking. Happy happy Thanksgiving!
